It's ironic how looking back on your life's journey seems to make a full circle. I started my career in computer software training and tech support. After a decade or so, I took a stained glass class (because what's better to relieve stress than to break glass, right?!) and a couple years later I changed careers and became a full-time glass artisan (stained glass).
In 2004, I founded Missouri Creativity Center, LLC which was located in a 5000 sq foot building and built up a beautiful business with custom glass, gift shop, classes, and at one point a cute Soup & Salad Cafe. All was going well. As the business (and personal life) grew, we added wood art, beads & jewelry, resin, and basically all kinds of fun creative stuff.
As life leads us down the path, here I am again, spreading my wings & sharing my experiences and knowledge - creating a place people can come for education and inspiration. I'm pivoting somewhat to include all of the fun crafts that fill my studio along with partnering with Indiemade to create some how-to videos so everyone can have their own website (or integrate it with Etsy for a backup or redundancy site (just in case).
Yes, I'm still making beautiful glass, but I'm adding more! I recently became an xTool Demonstation Site, and will be offering how-to videos, entrepreneurship info/advice and inspiration. I plan on offering designs on Atomm, Makerspace and Tinkercad (3d printing). Let not to forget fun projects with lasers, CNC, beads & jewelry, resin, sublimation, and whatever creative craft comes into my head or studio.
Here's to a successful, educational and fun crafting revival ahead! Sandy
